Hi there! I’m Allison: design lover, DIYer and estate sale enthusiast.
I believe design is a reflection and an expression of your personality. It is always evolving and transforming, which is how it should be. Because without change there is no growth.
ONCE UPON A TIME
As a little girl I would rearrange the furniture in my bedroom for fun and organize my Barbie clothes by color + type.
As an adult, I still rearrange my furniture and my closet is organized by color and item type. Proof that the more things change, the more they stay the same. I went to college at Penn State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Photography. After graduating I moved to Los Angeles and landed a job in the music industry, a bit by luck, but that's a story for another day. That job lead me to Nashville and I've spent well over a decade traveling the country both in the music industry as well as the professional sports industry.
But my heart lies in design...
In 2018 I bought a 1990’s traditional colonial brick home with great bones and a ton of potential. I’ve spent the last 6 years restoring the house to present day (buh-bye popcorn ceilings!) and creating a blank canvas to work from throughout that process.
And now, I’m ready to paint that canvas. I love playing with colors and creating cozy moody spaces. I'm a firm believer that light fixtures are their own form of artwork. And I'll always mix old with new. Keep an eye out for my Estate Sale adventures which are quickly becoming a weekly occurence!
Enneagram 3, type A as they come... I live for my morning cup of coffee and will always love skinny jeans.

WHY I CREATED THIS SPACE
My mission is twofold: it's a diary of the design journey and transformation of my house, as well as creative outlet for me. Along the way I hope to inspire, motivate and be a resource for you to make your house into a home.
